I would have removed it from the car...it's only a few bolts, though I imagine it's heavy enough to need a helper or a mild amount of rigging (two sawhorses and two planks, then drive out from under it).
1980 Buick LeSabre Limited 4.1 V6 T5 5 speed manual, 38,000 miles, family heirloom. (Up to 78,000 miles now, can't believe my work is holding up!)

The hood is very heavy, just want the car one color so i can see where the dents etc are so later i can do the bodywork right and really paint it. Got a little more done last night.
